Caledonian MacBrayne www.calmac.co.uk operates direct ferry services from Uig on the Isle of Skye to Tarbert (1 hour 40 minutes crossing) or alternatively Ullapool to Stornoway (2 hour 30 minutes crossing plus a 45 minute drive to the cottage) Due to these ferries being extremely busy it is highly recommended that you book in advance.

Stornoway Airport (42 miles) has regular connections with Aberdeen, Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow. These flights are operated by www.flybe.co.uk Once here car hire would be available.
